The border, the protests, RFK & Health and Human Services, JFK/MLK/Epstein files being released, the hostages, Hamas, the Houthis, Ukraine, Russia to name just a few of the subjects of headlines in the news.  These subjects DO seem to be of interest around the world no matter what news outlet or where these headlines appear to dominate the world news cycle.  It’s easy for anyone to easily access world news,  whether it is BBC, Sky News, AP, UPI or any other agency.  Which is why I was surprised when I started to see more posts and stories  on a topic that I had seen very little on in the international news except for individuals here and there, and it really wasn’t until Conor McGregor spoke at the White House on St. Patrick’s Day that this subject seem to be front and center, and he was ‘reprimanded’ by the Irish government, for bring this topic up, the huge increase of immigration into major European cities, where as a large part of those immigrating, NOT wanting to assimilate and the government of these countries very much seeming to bend over backwards to accommodate these individuals who have seemed to have developed a very entitled attitude, providing them with housing, food allowance and many other goodies that the regular citizens can barely afford to provide themselves.

Irish fighter, Conor McGregor speaking at the White House on St. Patrick’s Day about the immigration problems facing Ireland.

Now, I am not talking about people who work towards becoming immigrant, legally, doing their part to becoming a contributing part of a western population and society, because they want the same things we all want for our families.  Most likely, anyone reading this either did that or had ancestors who did that very thing, either in the US, Canada or any other western country.  Most likely, the western way of life was probably a drawing card for these immigrants, meaning the opportunity to work towards a better life with more freedoms to pursue, life liberty & happiness. The immigrants I know, arrived at their destination with nothing but noble intentions, not wanting to forget where they came from, wanting to worship as they wish, bringing their culture, values and way of life, but ready to assimilate into neighborhoods and communities being a productive member of society.

This is a huge issue, larger than I ever would have imagined.  I have seen, read an heard about many examples of such problems in the last year or so.  Here are but a few of examples:  Many shipping/transporting companies funded by prominent wealthy individuals such as Soros and Bill Gates, to name just a few. Large encampments in Dublin, Ireland of homeless refugees from the Muslim population.  From 2002-2022, just over 1.6 million people have immigrated to Ireland (this number is from the MPI, the Migration Policy Institute, June 2024).  According to BBC News From March-December in 2022 approximately 68, 000 immigrant refugees came from Ukraine alone due to the Ukraine/Russian war.  During a twenty year period, 1991-2011, the Muslim population increased 1000% due to a large numbers coming from a variety of countries.

In Ireland, this has caused problems from the homeland population becoming frustrated for funding immigrants who don’t pay into the system.  I have seen several news videos of welfare/dole offices with lines around the buildings with abled bodied working age men.  Social media has many videos of immigrants complaining about their ‘provided by the government’ hotel and apartment accommodations, and I have seen the same from  England. In Ireland, yesterday it was reported from a mechanic that as part of the the Social Needs program that Ukrainian immigrants have been awarded from 400-7,000 euros for car repairs. When conservatives in the government questioned the funding the opposing party chanted “Shame, Shame, Shame…” reported by Michael McCarthy who describes himself as a common sense reporter on Instagram who is available at Think.About.Th1s (not a typo, it “1” s at the end of Th1s).

Large numbers of Muslims occupied London Bridge and the surrounding area recently.

Speaking of England, a few weeks ago, London Bridge was closed down for Muslims to conduct a daily prayer service.  There are plenty of mosques throughout the London Metropolitan areas.  There was no need for such a demonstration.  London has been immigrant friendly for decades.  I recall as a student back in 1984, running through Hyde Park, with Pakistanis walking the park, with the men in regular attire and the women dressed in burqas in black and many wearing not only a covering on their head but on their face as well, with a metal niqab covering their face. We lived in the Knightsbridge Area, which at the time was also home to many in the Muslim population, they owned many of the businesses, little grocery stores and other small businesses. Recently, on the start of Ramadan, the Muslim community was invited to Windsor Castle for their prayer services, in addition, King Charles and Queen Camilla made news by packing bags with dates for Muslims. Again, respect for other religions is a good thing, but for the head of the Church of England to open the castle of Windsor for non-Christian activity is a stretch.  Increased crime and strife in these communities has been a problem with extreme Muslims bringing their Sharia law to be practiced in these communities.

King Charles and Queen Camilla of the United Kingdom, packing dates for Ramadan.

This problem is duplicated in Spain, France, Austria and Germany.  We know a French woman who has immigrated to Montreal due to increased crime with immigrants coming into the south of France, namely Marseilles, from Northern Africa moving throughout the country, causing numerous problem.  I have seen demonstrations in the European news outlets in German cities for Sharia law.  Sweden too has experienced problem and is offering payments of up to 350,000 kronor (approximately the equivalent of $34,000 American dollars) for immigrants to voluntary leave and go back to their home country.  Sweden somewhat got the ball rolling with these increased numbers in immigration twenty years ago or so, by generous policies allowing for a speedy path to citizenship ship, not making language a mandatory factor and what was initially a good will gesture has become a nightmare for many Swedes.

What has been the result of this increase in immigration by people who don’t want to assimilate and want to sap off the tax payers of these European nations?  It has caused some animosity by those who pay into the system.  You can see a variety of media personalities speaking on this topic. One of these is Katie Hopkins from “Bats_it Britain” she gives daily reports from boots on the ground of what is going on in the United Kingdom.  She has reported on communities in Scotland where the entire city government has no natural born citizens.

Katie Hopkins posts are sometimes humorous and very informative.

A question that comes to mind is “Why the mass immigration, to these western countries” from people who don’t want to assimilate?” As well as “Who is responsible?”  As mentioned, in the beginning, when Conor McGregor mentioned this issue on Monday, he was highly criticized by Irish and British politicians.  “Why?”  “Is it possible” (in the tone of the guy from the TV show, Ancient Aliens) that this has been carefully planned for a reason and that all of the other headlines are diversions from this topic?  I don’t know.

A topic most certainly for further reading and to keep an eye on.  One wonders if not wanting to publicize this issue could be that it could deter tourists to these major European cities. Europe may not be fond of Americans but they seem to enjoy the dollars that American tourists bring to their countries. Bad press on safety or the watering down of cultures could affect a summer of tourism and dollars coming in to boost their economy. Safety most certainly is at the top of a travelers list when considering where to vacation. It’s surprising that this problem has been growing for sometime and it has not been widely reported on, internationally.  Maybe some of these countries will take notice and note as to how the US is handling immigration and they may decide to follow suit.  For as a friend met while traveling who lives Australia once wrote me, “So as the US goes, there goes the rest of the Western World.”  In this situation, maybe yes, maybe no…Wondering what would make for Great Days ahead?  What do you think?
