As a former classroom teacher (& MOM), when late April-May rolled around, I was always hoping for a chilly spring, because it seemed to make my job a little easier.  As the weather gets warmer, students seemed to get a little less focused on their studies.  It’s important to teach kiddos to “Don’t Quit, Until the Job is Done,” like the line in the country music song with Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan and Eric Church. The song is about farming and farmers are known for NOT GIVING UP and Working Hard (I know that first hand because my Mom’s Family, for a few generations back, had farms in North and South Carolina).  The song is filled with lyrics that not only inspire one to not quit but to “Dig a little deeper when you think you can’t dig no more.”  Teach your kiddos to finish the school year on a high note, giving each subject their all.  They have a summer to chill, refresh, rest and regroup for another successful school year.  Their years in school and under your roof should prepare them for the real world. Teaching kids to not only complete a task, but to complete it WELL  and that it is something to be very proud, will no doubt, increase their self-esteem and may just lead them to say on more than one occasion…It’s a Great Day🍏
